  REGULATIONS OF THE FANTINI CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE MEDITERRANEAN AND THE Black Sea

 - 1 -

Establishment of the Championship

Visas:

a) the Statute of the Mediterranean Horse Racing Union, art. 3, which establishes that among the specific tasks of the Association is the organization of an annual competition, called the "Mediterranean Championship";

b) the resolutions of the Council of the Mediterranean Horse Racing Union relating to the calendar, the name, and the regulations of the Mediterranean Championship;

The annual competition called "Mediterranean and Black Sea Jockeys Championship" is established, according to the calendar attached to these regulations, of which it forms an integral part.

- 2 -

Participating jockeys

The participating countries are not required to organize a race that is part of the Championship circuit, but they can still take part by being represented by their own professional jockey.

Each participating country designates, for each race, the jockey who will represent it, committing to select experienced and prestigious jockeys and to send, before the declaration of starters, the forfait list of the designated jockey to the racecourse hosting the Championship stage in which that jockey will take part.

- 3 -

Participating nations

Each of the Racing Companies organizing the Championship undertakes to schedule, on the dates established by the attached calendar, a gallop race whose specific conditions allow one jockey from each country participating in the Championship to compete.

Equestrian organizations and non-UIM member countries - subject to a positive decision by the Council - may participate in the Mediterranean and Black Sea Jockeys Championship and may also organize Championship competitions.

The equestrian organizations that are members of the UIM which, at the time of the decision on the calendar of the Mediterranean and Black Sea Jockeys Championship, are not up to date with the payment of their membership fees for the current year and/or with the repayment plan agreed with the Association for the payment of any outstanding fees, cannot organize competitions of the Championship.

- 4 -

Organization of the tests

Each of the Federations organizing a round of the Mediterranean and Black Sea Jockeys Championship undertakes to provide hotel accommodation and stay for the participating jockeys and the accompanying persons designated by each nation participating in the event, up to a limit of 3 per country. To allow representatives of nations requiring an entry visa to reach the host country to receive it in good time, it must send the nominative invitations to those concerned and forward the necessary documentation to the consular representations at least two months before the date of the race. It will encourage trainers to make their horses available to the jockeys participating in the Championship to allow them to race. It undertakes to ensure that foreign jockeys participating in its event are paid riding fees at the rate in force in its own country, through an agreement between the local Equestrian Federation and the Equestrian Federations of the guest jockeys. It also undertakes to select as the Championship race preferably a handicap race, or, if this is not possible, a conditions race or another appropriate race, with the express exclusion of claiming or selling races.

In compliance with its own National Regulations, it will also undertake to organize the selected race as a Championship event under conditions that:

-  ensure that the participating jockeys ride horses of the most equivalent possible level and of good quality;

- the assignment of horses to jockeys is provided for by means of a public draw, carried out in the presence of a representative of the Mediterranean Equestrian Union;

- allow for a number of horses as close as possible to the number of jockeys participating in the Championship starting in the event, with a maximum excess of 3 horses, without prejudice to any exceptions arising from the national regulations of individual countries.

- provision is made for the presence of reserve horses to be assigned to the jockeys participating in the championship in case of withdrawals, without prejudice to any exceptions arising from the national regulations of individual countries.

For each Championship stage, if a representative of the Mediterranean Horse Racing Union cannot be present for all related operations, the organizing Member must appoint a responsible official, who will be tasked with: 1) attending the public draw of the horses, ensuring it is recorded on video and communicating the starting field in real time to the Union's Technical Consultant; 2) verifying that the participating jockeys and drivers have been officially designated by the horse racing authorities of the countries they represent in the race, are in possession of the relevant forfait list, and meet the additional requirements set out in the regulations; 3) transmitting to the Technical Consultant, at the end of the race, the following documentation: official order of arrival, forfait list of participants, and video recording of the horse draw.

Scores and ranking

On the occasion of each race, points will be awarded to the jockeys and the nations based on the result of the race. Placings of horses ridden by jockeys not participating in the championship are excluded from the ranking for the purpose of awarding points. At the end of the last race of the Championship, a ranking by nation will be drawn up. The jockey who has achieved the highest score among the representatives of the first-ranked nation will be awarded the title of Champion of the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. In the event of a tie, the ranking order will be determined by first considering the highest number of victories, then the number of best placings, and if the tie still persists, a draw will be held.

The points, for each stage, will be awarded based on the order of arrival of the race as follows:

a) For the stages held as a single event: 10 points will go to the first place finisher, 8 to the second, 7 to the third, 6 to the fourth, 5 to the fifth, 4 to the sixth, 3 to the seventh, and 1 point to each participant not placed within the top 7.

b) For the stages held in 2 races with different horses but with the same jockeys, the final number of points will be assigned by calculating the average of the points obtained by each jockey in each race according to the scoring provided in point a)

In order to keep the interest in the Championship alive until its conclusion, the points of the last stage will be doubled.
